Valerie M. Downs

Valerie Downs joined Mike Brooks and Associates in June 2006 as an independent financial investment advisor with Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.   As a fiduciary, Val makes recommendations and offers solutions based on the best interest of her clients' needs and individual situations.  Val enjoys helping her clients and appreciates the opportunity to get to know them personally.  She assists them with retirement planning, investment management for savings, educational goals, legacy-planning,  as well as offering insurance solutions including life, health, and Medicare. 

Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Val.  She has served on many boards and committees in Bardstown and Nelson County, including St. Thomas Parish Finance Committee, President of Nelson County Library Board, Elizabethtown Community & Technical College Early Childhood Education Board, Rotary Club, Bardstown Foundation for Excellence in Education, Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce, Bardstown-Nelson County Leadership Class, and past Treasurer and Board Member of CASA of Nelson County. 

When Val isn't helping her clients, she loves going to the beach and spending time with her family.  She and her husband Joey live in Bardstown and have 3 grown, married children and 4 beautiful grandchildren who are adorable.
